Västervik Drone Science Park (VDSP)
As the name indicate, we are a Science Park and our focus for operations is within drones in air, on land and on/under water (UXV).
We are a quadruple-helix hub and cog for things related to drones and unmanned technologies and our mission is driving innovation, collaboration, knowledge rising, and new business opportunities and a lot more!
UXV Test and demo site
Västerviks unique 1 000 km² UAS Geo-zon (R-area) is the foundation for our R/D, test and demonstrations in air, land and water and combinations as well as different payloads and other related technologies.
It offers all Nordic terrain types (Land, forest, archipelago, open sea, lakes, etc ) except high alpine. In the zon there is also all possible infrastructure that can be used for testing e.g. power lines, windmills, railways, roads, etc.
“Base camp” is Västervik Airport (ESSW) but can also be other places. Possible to test VLOS/EVLOS/BVLOS och autonomous and drone swarms etc.
